TASK (Tackling Anti-Semitism for our Kids) Conference
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2017
Join hundreds of leaders in Georgia’s education community for a morning packed with information and conversation regarding anti-Semitism and other forms of hate in Atlanta-area K-12 schools. This critical effort seeks to improve upon current and best practices with proactive prevention methods as well as intervention and responsive measures in the face of increasing anti-Semitism and other forms of hate.
This INVITE ONLY, RSVP REQUIRED conference will feature compelling presentations from community experts, a bevy of resources, tools and inspiration for educators as well as engaging round table discussions for attendees to address the issues and share ideas.
Invitations have been extended to those tasked with shaping the hearts and minds of students, including national, regional, state and local education agencies; district-level and pertinent school leaders within Atlanta Public Schools, Cobb County, Dekalb County, Decatur City Schools, Fulton County, Gwinnett County and Marietta City Schools, private schools and homeschool groups; faith leaders; and relevant community organizations.
AIAAS’ Atlanta Leadership Forum on Anti-Semitism drew hundreds of prominent community leaders from government, law enforcement, education, business, religious, cultural, civic, social, and non-profit sectors to stand in unity to denounce anti-Semitism and other forms of hate and inform a community action plan in March 2017. The TASK Conference is a direct result of the community leaders’ urging at that Forum.
WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS to help coordinate everything, including sponsorships, invitations, vendors, content, day-of execution and much more. Let us know if you can please pitch in!
